WESTFIELD, NY

Local Window Contractor for the Westfield, NY Community

Located in Chautauqua County, Westfield, NY is a small town directly lying on Lake Erie's shore. With just over 4,500 year-round residents, Westfield is considered to be a quaint area within the WNY region. The area was first settled back in 1802 by James McMahan when he ventured outside of the neighboring state of Pennsylvania. He built a mill in the area to help empty water out of a local creek and into the basin of Lake Erie, only to take down the mill to avoid capture by the British. A lighthouse was then constructed in Barcelona Harbor in 1829 to help guide sailors on Lake Erie, serving thirty years until its deactivation in the year 1859. This lighthouse was the first across the world to be powered solely by natural gas.

Today the area's economy thrives off of agriculture, the variety of grapes grown in the area, and the occasional tourism to shops and historical landmarks in the area. Welch's, one of the largest leading juice brands in the world has direct ties to the area, and wineries have become a popular business venture in the area.

Being only an easy drive from the major neighboring city of Buffalo, Westfield, NY has become a place where families relocate to enjoy a slower-paced life. Raynor Construction is proud to service the Westfield, NY area with all residential services provided by our reliable team of general contractors.
